NAME DISCLOSURE

You consent to having your name disclosed to the selling agent when you purchase an EYEON report.  Our disclosure policy is based on the following background information and our belief that it is generally in your interests for the selling agent to know that you are performing due diligence on the relevant property.

Selling agents are always interested to know that potential buyers are looking seriously at a property.  In most cases, you will have already had some interaction with the agent by phone, email or at an open for inspection.  As such, they generally know your name already.  Agents will also usually insist on finding out from building inspectors who their client is before allowing access to a property.

However, buyers are sometimes keen to do their property due diligence away from the gaze of the selling agent. However this can be a disadvantage.  For example, if the agent receives a serious offer on a property, they will contact other serious buyers to ensure those parties have an opportunity to make a counter offer.  If the agent is not aware of your level of interest, you may miss out on this opportunity. Similarly, agents will contact serious buyers if there are other developments affecting the sale of the property, such as updated auction information or additional property information.

For these reasons, we believe you benefit from the agent being aware that you have gone to the expense of purchasing a building and pest inspection report.

Notwithstanding the above, if you do not wish to have your name disclosed to the selling agent, you are able to update your name disclosure status after you have created your account.  After you have logged in, simply go to the My Account page on the website (click on My Account at top right of any web page) and uncheck the name disclosure box at the bottom of the My Account page.
